Founded on 14 July 1986 by Chris Sherratt, the company was built on a vision, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to supporting New Zealand’s food industry. Starting as a supplier of vital wheat gluten, Sherratt Ingredients has grown into one of New Zealand’s leading specialty ingredients and bespoke blending businesses, supporting customers across a wide range of food and beverage categories.
Over the past 40 years, Sherratt Ingredients has expanded its product portfolio, established long-term partnerships with trusted global ingredient suppliers, and continually invested in innovation and capability to support food and beverage manufacturers in responding to evolving market demands and consumer trends.
Today, under the leadership of Managing Director Duncan Sherratt, Chris Sherratt’s son, the company remains committed to providing high-quality specialty ingredients, bespoke ingredient and blend solutions, and local technical expertise and support to food and beverage manufacturers across New Zealand.
The company is proud of its SEDEX and BRC AA-rated facilities in Hobsonville, Auckland, featuring state-of-the-art product development kitchens, quality control laboratories, pilot-scale production facilities, and manufacturing and blending operations. Together with its dedicated halal manufacturing and dry-blending facility, Sherratt Ingredients is able to develop and deliver tailored solutions for customers across a broad range of applications.
